The fresh outbreaks at small farms prompted villagers to cull about 15,000 chickens over the last few days, the report said.M. M. Kahn, a technical adviser to the Bangladesh Poultry Association, told AFP 2 days ago that the avian flu situation in poultry was “very grave” because some farmers were not reporting outbreaks or were trying to cover them up.”The flu is no longer confined to farms. first_imgJust yesterday, the announcement promotional video of Rijeka 2020 was published and see what the Port of Diversity of Rijeka 2020 looks like in a promo video. The concept of the city of Rijeka that brought the title is based on themes Rada, Diversity i Vode united in an umbrella theme Luka. The term “port” in the context of the ECOC is transferred to all spheres of urban life in which it can play a crucial symbolic or real role in the life of the citizens of Rijeka. The port is traditionally perceived as a shelter, but also a venue for the exchange of goods and international communication. The desired “cargo” that ships will deliver to the port in 2020 are artistic, creative, innovative products that arrive in Rijeka from all over the world, just as they are sent from Rijeka to other ports. As they point out from Rijka 2020, they see the port as a theme in a broad, metaphorical sense of connecting and creating a “free zone” for artistic experimentation, both in traditional and new formats and media. “We live a peer to peer digital culture in which we can be a “pirate” port, but also a startup risk port. The first is more democratic, and the second is more profitable, but all forms of cultural activities of the future must have the opportunity to coexist in Nova Luka called Rijeka ”  Together with the notion of Luka, the themes of Labor, Diversity and Water form a narrative about the peculiarities of the city, its past, present and future and represent values deeply woven into the historical identity of Rijeka, both literally and metaphorically. At the same time, they reflect the foundations of the European Union: multiculturalism, diversity, respect for diversity, openness to dialogue and cooperation. Regardless of political will and democratic tradition, these values are, of course, not guaranteed once and for all. On the contrary, precisely because of the real and constant danger of them being endangered, especially in the circumstances of a long-lasting economic crisis, they should be defended by reflection, evaluation and representation from an artistic and cultural perspective. These determinants of Port, Labor, Diversity and Water should serve not only as a starting point for the story of our city and its connection with Europe, but also to ask extremely important and urgent issues such as the position and future of work and workers, work as art and art as work, endangerment of water as a resource, questioning our and European multiculturalism and interculturality.
