And the 32-year-old has confirmed that he will not play for the Blues next season, penning an emotional open letter to Chelsea fans on his Instagram account.“They were seven wonderful years,” he wrote. “In August 2013 when I received the offer from Chelsea, I was convinced that this was where I had to play.“Today I am certain that it was the best of decisions. There were so many happy times, some sad, there were trophies and it was always very intense.“Yet, beyond the trophies, I learnt a lot about myself. I developed a great deal, becoming a better player and a better person.“With each training session, with each game, with every minute spent in the dressing room, I was always learning. “I am really grateful to the Chelsea fans for the affectionate way they welcomed me at Stamford Bridge and their support throughout my time at the club.“There was also criticism, which is normal, what is important though is that both the affection and criticism drove me to always give my all in every training session, every game, to be constantly improving until my very last minute in a Chelsea shirt!“The time has now come to move on. I am certainly going to miss my teammates. I will miss all the staff at the club who’ve always treated me like a son and I will miss the fans.“I leave with my head held high, safe in the knowledge that I won things here and always did my best in a Chelsea shirt!“My heartfelt thanks go out to all of you and God bless you!” Willian’s Chelsea exit had been on the cards after it emerged that he had reportedly rejected a two-year extension, seeking a three-year contract with the club.Tags: ChelseaStamford BridgeWillianlast_img read more

first_imgFor some reason the image above is doing the rounds again. At 1st when it appeared on my social media news feed, I thought that it was from this year’s Oscars. When I researched the origin of the picture though, I discovered that it was from the 2015 Grammy awards. The image is highlighting the fact that Kim Kardashian, has cellulite and as much as the article I came across were trying (very loosely) to promote body image, they were just harping on about the fact that Kim had some cellulite. So, what!I’d hazard a guess that every female has some form of cellulite and it isn’t something that needs to be highlighted or have any attention brought to it.One of the headlines read “While it was supposed to be Kanye’s night to put on show, Kim Kardashian managed to steal the spotlight by putting on a show of her own! The reality star revealed TOO much skin in a high-slit dress while revealing a bad case of cellulite at the Grammy Awards on Feb. 8, 2015.” Way to be body confident guys.Cellulite is a word that the media loves to talk about and that most women don’t want to hear.Cellulite is a term for lumpy, dimpled flesh on the thighs, hips, buttocks and abdomen and it is most common in women.Until the 1970’s cellulite was not seen as a skin disorder.Cellulite was, quite literally, invented by fashion magazines. On April 15, 1969, Vogue magazine published an article describing cellulite as an increasingly common skin disease, and advertising solutions to “cure” this imagined problem.Since the 1920’s, the term “cellulite” existed within a medical context, but practitioners did not regard it as a disease or a problem.Today, many women believe that they have a skin condition because of visible cellulite. In fact, these people are simply displaying normal traits associated with womanhood. Its name may make it sound like a medical condition. But cellulite is nothing more than normal fat beneath the skin. The fat appears bumpy because it pushes against connective tissue, causing the skin above it to pucker.Having cellulite does not mean that you are overweight. It can affect women, and men, of all sizes and shapes. There are numerous treatments for cellulite ranging from creams, injections, laser treatments, spa treatments and even liposuction. The problem is that none of these have been proven to actually work as they say they do.Liposuction treatment can actually make the appearance of cellulite worse as it removes the deep fat during the process and this can leave deep depressions in the skin where cellulite was present. So what can you do to get rid of cellulite? This is a definition of cellulite taken from the Mayo Clinic:“Cellulite is caused by fibrous connective cords that tether the skin to the underlying muscle, with the fat lying between. As the fat cells accumulate, they push up against the skin, while the long, tough cords are pulling down. This creates an uneven surface or dimpling.”Cellulite is actually a matter of structural mechanics.Men are less prone to cellulite because their bodies are structurally different to women and we tend to store fat viscerally rather than subcutaneously. So, is there any ‘cure’ for cellulite? NoCan you reduce the appearance of it through diet and exercise? Yes.Should you continue to waste your money on creams and treatments that cost a small fortune and don’t give much in return? No.Cellulite is only a problem if you believe the media’s image of how the female body should look.A few years back there was another image of Scarlett Johansson doing the rounds. The media made a big storm last year of the images of her on the beach in a bikini with obvious cellulite on her legs and thighs. She was on the cover of every gossip magazine all of which revelled in the fact that she wasn’t ‘perfect’.Her boyfriend at the time must obviously have been mad to be with a woman who wasn’t perfect, I mean how could he even look at her, never mind touch her?Maybe it was because he was with Scarlett fricken Johansson and he didn’t give a damn about a bit of cellulite because every woman has cellulite and it ISN’T ACTUALLY A PROBLEM!Emmet Rushe says cellulite isn’t a problem was last modified: March 21st, 2017 by Emmet RusheShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window)last_img read more
