The statement house sits on a 950 sqm block with river frontage, and has its own pontoon. At the time, Winter said it was the third house they had lived in at Sanctuary Cove. Winter spoke exclusively to The Courier Mail this afternoon, saying Sanctuary Cove had been a wonderful place to raise their children, but it was time for a change.“Our youngest is now 14 and Caroline and I are not getting any younger so we have decided its time for a beach change,” he said.“We have spent 14 years on the northern end of the coast and but we have always had itchy feet.“So we are heading to join the hip set somewhere between Main Beach and Mermaid Beach.”Speaking of his next dream home, Winter said his preference would be a “beachside knock-down and rebuild”.He said the decision would be “location driven” and that they had already started their house hunt.“I am pretty much living on realestate.com.au,” he laughed. The property guru said he believed the Gold Coast was “very much at the beginning” of its real estate boom, noting there was plenty of room to move in the market. Property records show Andrew and Caroline Winter bought the property for $1.9 million in March 2017. Following a complete renovation, it is now listed for sale for $3.95 million and it is easy to see why.It has a northerly aspect and views across the water and uninhabited natural islands.“Remodelled and totally renovated during 2018, under the supervision of an architect, interior designer and landscape designers,” the listing states. “Better than new, this home has real character and layout to suit everyone from busy families, could be the ultimate holiday home, or perhaps the perfect choice for multi generational family living, or retirees that love to entertain.” Andrew Winter (right) co-hosts Foxtel’s popular series Love It Or List It with Neale Whitaker. first_imgSOMERTON, Ariz. (Feb. 7-8) – Despite his lengthy record of success, Dylan Smith has never started a race season quite like this.Smith swept weekend IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified Winter Nationals features at Cocopah Speedway, earning $1,000 for each of his Friday and Saturday night victories. “It’s a great way to start the season,” said the former national champion and defending IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s king. “I’ve never won right out of the box like this before. It was kind of different for me.”Smith started Friday’s 25-lapper from outside row two and passed pole starter Kent Rosevear for the lead on the fifth circuit. Sixth starting R.C. Whitwell moved up to challenge on the inside before Smith took the faster lower line away. After encountering lapped traffic with eight to go, frontrunners were forced to use all three grooves to negotiate their way through the field. Smith took the win ahead of Whitwell, Marlyn Seidler, Justen Yeager and Ricky Thornton Jr. Yeager and Thornton both advanced 10 places from their spots on the initial grid. Saturday’s Modified main at Somerton was 30 laps and after starting third, Smith led the last 22 times around the oval. He was catching up with the back of the pack and was forced to evade a spinning car that brought out the caution just before midway.Smith again used the lower line to his advantage to drive through lapped traffic and collect his 90th IMCA career feature win. Thornton, the top driver in Winter Challenge Series point standings, ran a close second. Scott Drake, Jesse Sobbing and Yeager completed the top five. Brock Beeter won both IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock features at Cocopah while Ben Kates and Chris Toth split Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMod top honors. All three divisions are in action again Feb. 14 and 15 for Winter Nationals finales. Friday’s Modified main pays $1,000 to win while Saturday’s checkers are good for $3,000. Both events are also 2014 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifiers. Feb. 7 Feature ResultsModifieds – 1. Dylan Smith; 2. R.C. Whitwell; 3. Marlyn Seidler; 4. Justen Yeager; 5. first_imgLondon, United Kingdom | AFP | Rangers on Friday confirmed former Liverpool and England midfielder Steven Gerrard as their new manager, announcing he would join the Scottish Premiership club this summer on a four-year deal.Gerrard, who has previously only worked with Liverpool’s Under-18s, faces a daunting task in trying to compete with Old Firm rivals Celtic, who have just sealed their seventh consecutive title.“I am honoured to become the next manager of Rangers,” the 37-year-old said in a statement on the club’s website. “I have enormous respect for this football club, and its history and tradition. “I can’t wait to start this new journey at Rangers as we look to build on the many successes that this club has achieved.”Chairman Dave King said: “From the very beginning, talks have been extremely positive and we believe that Steven is the right man to drive Rangers forward.“He was extremely impressive throughout our negotiations and we are convinced that he has the necessary knowledge and temperament to lead the club to the success we all desire.”Gerrard was an inspirational captain and Champions League winner in a 17-year career at Anfield but as a managerial rookie he faces a huge challenge to unseat Celtic, who sealed the title on Sunday with a 5-0 thumping of Rangers. He also faces the challenge of outfoxing his former manager at Liverpool in Celtic’s Brendan Rodgers. The arrival of the former England captain will restore some star power to a league that has found it increasingly hard to attract and hold onto top players against the booming television revenues of the Premier League.center_img Rangers are still recovering from the fallout of their liquidation in 2012 and subsequent demotion to the fourth tier of Scottish football. In their second season back in the top flight, Rangers trail Celtic by 13 points, and are locked in a battle with Aberdeen and Hibernian just to finish second.Rangers fans excited by the prospect of Gerrard’s arrival have cited his stature as aiding the Ibrox club’s ability to recruit a better quality player in what is expected to be a busy transfer window. But the club still have to overcome a huge financial disparity with Celtic. Bolstered by revenue from the Champions League, Celtic’s £90 million ($122 million) turnover last year was three times that of their Old Firm rivals.Caretaker manager Graeme Murty, who had been promoted from his role as the club’s under-20 coach, was sacked this week after six months in charge.Share on: WhatsApplast_img read more
