Charles Lukwago, Nicholas Kasozi and Allan Okello have all been absent due to national team engagements. With the international break now out of the way, the trio will be available for selection, something that is a welcome boost to the team.“It is a good boost, but they’ll have to show us we missed them by winning, said KCCA FC head coach Mike Mutebi on Tuesday.“We hope their return helps us.”With the trio now back, Mutebi faces a selection headache as those that filled in for them have been impressive.Jamil Malyamungu who stepped in for Charles Lukwago in goal has conceded just once in two games and put out a match-winning performance against Vipers as he saved a late Allan Kayiwa curling strike to ensure KCCA walk away with all three points on Saturday. Whether Mutebi sticks with him in goal or he recalls his captain, remains to be seen.Erisa Ssekisambu and Gift Ali who patched up for Allan Okello and Nicholas Kasozi respectively, have also impressed but them continuing in the starting team is once again down to Mutebi and his technical team.A win for KCCA FC will take them into 4th with 25 points. Having played four games less than Vipers, the Kasasiros can assume top spot at the end of the first round if they win all their remaining five games. For URA FC, they have also not been performing badly in the past few weeks.Losing just one of their last eight is not a bad statistic but just like last season, Sam Simbwa’s side are drawing far too many games. In the period (last 8 games), they have drawn five games and won the other two on top of losing once.Scoring goals is another issue that they need to overcome if they are to turn the would-be draws into victories. The Tax Collectors have scored just six goals in their last 10 games with two coming in the win over Onduparaka away from home.Having defeated KCCA FC 2-1 in the reverse fixture last season, URA will head into the contest thinking they can do it again, something that worries Mutebi.“Yes, we lost to URA last season. It was the only team that beat us here so they do have the belief that they can do it here.“They have a coach who believes he has the capacity and the players to do it, and he knows KCCA because he was here, but for us we are never under pressure.“We don’t put pressure on players. All these players know they have a responsibility to win. URA is a good team, but i think we have quite enough in our armory so we will try to win.”Match FactsThis will be the 19th meeting between the two sides since December 2010.In the past 18 meetings, KCCA FC have won six, URA seven with the other five all ending in draws. This fixture has produced just two away victories in the last 11 meetings with the home side winning on six occasions and the other three ending in draws. However, it produced two away victories last season including URA’s 2-1 win at Lugogo.KCCA FC come into the game having won all their last five league games, scoring 14 goals and conceding just four in the process. At home, the Kasasiros are yet to lose a game this season, winning four and drawing one of their opening five. For URA FC, they head into the encounter having lost only one of their last 8 games (W2 D5).Away from home, the Tax Collectors have already lost two games this season (W2 D2).Yesterday’s UPL Results-Proline FC 3-2 Maroons FCComments Tags: allan okelloChrales Lukwagoerisa ssekisambuGift AliJamil MalyamunguMike Mutebinicholas kasoziUganda Premier LeagueURA FClast_img read more
