Choir! is staging a tribute to Downie at Toronto’s Nathan Phillips Square tonight (Tues. Oct. 24th) at 8:00 p.m.The group says Downie “means so much to so many” and “made us all feel so proud to be Canadian.” Downie died last Tuesday at age 53. Nearly two years ago, he was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an invasive brain tumour with one of the poorest survival rates of any cancer.
